How the EcoFire Works

The EcoFire supplies a light pattern of air into the base of the fire. Working a bit like an electric bellow, the EcoFire increases the temperature of the fire thus burning off most of the pollutants. The volitiles in the wood that produce smoke don't ignite until they are well over 1,200 degrees Fahrenheit. The average fire in a fireplace burns at aproximately 900 - 1,100 degrees. The EcoFire averages 1,600 - 1,800 degrees. Smoke is simply incomplete combustion. The EcoFire helps to create a complete combustion.

Heated air jets into the base of the fire make for the perfect fire, easy to start and easy to maintain using less wood. By increasing the temperature of the fire, the EcoFire dramatically reduces pollution. The specically designed curved heat shield radiates heat and protects the interior of the fireplace.

Wood or Pressed Logs

The EcoFire helps to start a fire by providing just enough air to aid the combustion. And when the fire has burnt down, you can add a log and turn the air on high to restart a hearty fire.

The EcoFire also works well with pressed or manufactured logs such as Duraflame. Using the EcoFire helps to alleviate the petrochemical (wax_ smell that is emitted by these logs.
