- Particulate
Matter emissions are reduced from 12.2 g/kg in the average fireplace
to 2.8 g/kg with the EcoFire technology.

Pollution
from a typical wood burning fireplace is the result of inefficient
or incomplete burning of the wood. Wood burns completely only
at very high temperatures with enough oxygen present. When a fire
burns at normal temperatures, such as in a typical fireplace,
the wood only cooks and creates gases and tars which escape up
the chimney as smoke, i.e. pollution.
The
EcoFire Super-Grate supplies an abundant amount
of oxygen that raises the temperature which in turn burns up more
of the pollution that normally would have escaped, and turns it
into heat energy - thus, the EcoFire Super-Grate
reduces particulate pollution by approximately 60% and reduces
carbon monoxide by 80%.

The
EcoFire burns hotter and emits more radiant heat.
Radiant
heat directly warms people and objects in the room, rather than
warming the air.
If your primary concern is heating the home, you should consider
a closed system such as a wood stove or pellet stove.
This
eco-friendly grate uses heated air jets to ignite full sized seasoned
logs in minutes, requiring only newspaper for kindling- if traditional
kindling is unavailable. One match starts the fire, but in contrast
to gas fireplaces, there is no fear of explosion. Once the fire
is started, it is easily maintained because
the intensity can be increased or decreased by adjusting the air
flow. This additionally makes it easy to burn damp wood, impossible
with a typical fireplace setup.
The EcoFire
Super-Grate substantially reduces the quantity of ash making for
easy clean up and eliminates the lingering stale smell that comes
from partially burnt logs. Additionally, creosote
(sticky tar residue that sticks inside the flue) is substantially
reduced and, as a result, lowers the hazard of chimney fires The
EcoFire may also be used with manufactured or pressed logs that
contain wax by-products such as Duraflame. The EcoFire burns these
efficiently with less of the petrochemical smell as the increased
combustion helps to break down the chemicals.
The EcoFire
Super-Grate requires no installation and fits most fireplaces
as there are fours sizes available. The EcoFire can be used in
both "zero clearance" as well as fireplaces with glass
doors - either with the glass doors slightly open or with the
cord of the EcoFire placed between the fireplace and the glass
door set.
You may order your EcoFire with the fan on either the right or
left side. This will depend upon where the most convenient
outlet is near your fireplace (as you face the fireplace).

& It's Safe and Economical!
You will burn a lot
less wood with the EcoFire. In a traditional fireplace you
need to pile on a lot of wood to create a beautiful roaring fire.
With the EcoFire you will have a warm
roaring fire with just one or two logs. The EcoFire
Super-Grate is significantly less expensive and easier to operate
and install than an insert and provides the warmth and beauty
of an open fire.
The EcoFire
Super-Grate has undergone stringent safety testing by the Underwriters
Laboratories, and is UL approved.
Helps Inefficient Chimneys
And Flues
Many smoke
spillage and back drafting problems are solved with the EcoFire
Super-Grate. The forced air and intense heat, serves to solve
the problems of inefficient chimneys and flues.
